2007 SRVHS Athletic Hall of Fame

Mike Campbell, Class of 1978:

Mike Campbell is being honored for his athletic achievements in three sports. In fact Mike’s accomplishments are so numerous as to barely fit in the page provided. Mr. Caldwell excelled at every sport he played; baseball, basketball and football.

Mike played 2 years varsity baseball, 2 years varsity basketball, and 2 years varsity football. Mike was named 3 seasons All League as well as being named Junior All-League and All-League Wide Receiver in football as a senior.

Mike was a part of the EBAL champion team achieving All-EBAL as WR and DB; All-East Bay as WR and DB; and All Nor Cal as DB. He was named Team Captain and achieved the NFL Foundation Scholarship.

As an EBAL champion, Mike was the team leader in touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards, tackles and interceptions.

In Basketball he was named All-EBAL – he was the team leading soccer and Team Captain. In Baseball he was also named All-EBAL.

Mr. Campbell attended Brown University achieving his BS, and UCLA earning his MBA. While in college, Mike was a two-year starter as a WR in Football and in Baseball was a three-year starter as an infielder and Team Captain.

Mike went on to pursue his interests in the financial field as a stockbroker, corporate Leander, credit analyst, CFO for National IPF Company, Portfolio Manager for ING, and a Partner with West Gate Horizons Advisers.

Mr. Campbell continues his interests in sports as a volunteer. He participates in AYSO Soccer, Little League Baseball, Pony League Baseball and as a High School JV Coach.

We are very proud to have Mike Campbell as one of our own accomplished athletes and as an inspiration to future SRVHS student athletes.
