Kurt (KC) Hollmer

2011 SRVHS Athletic Hall of Fame

Kurt (KC) Hollmer, Class of 1974:

KC’s High School athletic prowess was evident in high school. In his freshman year, KC was his team’s Most Valuable Player in Football, Basketball, and Track and Field, the latter of which also earned him a Varsity Letter. By his senior year, KC was an All-Northern California running back in Football who received full ride scholarship offers from top schools like Nebraska, UCLA, Texas A&M, Houston and USC. In those days, there was only one school to choose if you were a prized running back, USC.

KC played behind two-time Heisman Trophy winner, Charles White, and future NFL star, Ricky Bell. During his time at USC, his team won a Rose Bowl, a National Championship, and the Liberty Bowl.

“KC” has a distinguished resume of records. At San Ramon Valley High Scholl he set several school and EBAL scoring records in Football, including most points in a season, and 3 school records in Track. He still has the current school record in the long jump at 23’ 1 ¼ “. KC also holds a personal distinction of running 46 marathons in a ten year period. KC is also a member of the Tri-Valley Sports Hall of Fame.

Today KC currently owns Serenity Lodge, a licensed alcohol and drug treatment facility in Lake Arrowhead, CA. He has a wife, Janette, four children, and the light of his life; two year old grandson, Landin.
