- PTSA Building Bridges
Every year in February, incoming Freshman students and their parents are invited to participate in our Building Bridges program. This program is designed to make the transition from middle school to high school as successful as possible by offering a series of informational meetings and activities for our incoming 9th graders and their parents. Our PTSA volunteers help support the SRVHS Building Bridges nights. In January, our Building Bridges Chair coordinates with the Principal, the Leadership Teacher, the School Counselors, and the Booster Groups to get event details. Then volunteers collect flyers, documents, etc. and prepare the parent packet to be handed out at the two nights. PTSA updates the Building Bridges webpage. The school & PTSA distribute digital materials to CWMS, LCMS, SVMS, and private schools prior to event. Our volunteers coordinate with Booster Group to help set up tables. and also decorate Commons & PAC (banners, balloons, etc.). On the two nights of Building Bridges, our volunteers handout packets to parents.
