Robby Smith – Class of 2005 - Wrestling        

Robby is synonymous with world class wrestling.  At San Ramon, he was a four-year letterman.  He was EBAL champion in each of his four years, he was NCS Champion in 3 of his four years and placed at the State meet, also in three of his four years!
Robby attended Northern Michigan University.  After Northern Michigan, he was asked to come to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. he competed at 96 kg for 8 years.  He went to 130kg in 2012 and has been competing at this level ever since. Robby has been a 4-time world team member 2016 Olympic team member Pan-American champion 2015 and third in the Pan-American games 2015 two-time national champion fifth in the world twice 2013 and 2015
Robby is still competing on the international stage.  Some of his career highlights to date are:
2016 U. S. Olympic Team member and U.S. Trial Champion
Two-time World Championships, 5th place
Three-time U.S. World Team member
Two-time US. Open champion
2015 Pan American Games bronze medalist

His mom and sisters are very supportive but it has been his Dad who has been his right-hand man and they have been a team since he started this journey.

Robby is still living in Colorado Springs working towards 2020 Olympics and just got engaged to be married to a very supportive woman on this journey.
