Allison Falk

2013 SRVHS Athletic Hall of Fame

Allison Falk, Class of 2005:

Allison Falk was an easy choice for entry into the SRVHS Athletic Hall of Fame. A natural athlete with a strong desire to compete, Allison excelled in both Soccer and Track. Allison’s name still appears on the Top 10 board in Track in four different individual events which is quite remarkable considering she did not compete as a Senior due to a lingering Soccer injury. Allison is 2nd all-time in the High Jump, 4th all-time in the 100 meters, 5th all-time in the Long Jump, and 8th all-time in the 200 meter dash. In 2004- 2005 she was voted EBAL Female Field Events Athlete of the Year. Current Track Coach, Tim Hunter, says of Allison, “She was very good at synthesizing information and then putting the words into action immediately…basically a coach’s dream. Very focused during the time of competition and very relaxed in between events, a rare combination.

But her greater fame would come in Soccer. In 2004, Allison was named Tri Valley Girls Winter Athlete of the Year and North Coast Section Girls Soccer Player of the Year. She was also named NSCAA/Adidas California H.S. State Player of the Year.

Allison then took her talents to Stanford University where she was a four year starter and eventual Co-Captain for the perennially top 10 ranked Soccer team. At Stanford, she earned All Pac-10 Team Player Awards 2005 – 2008, and All Pac-10 Academic Awards and Stanford Scholar Athlete Awards for 2006 – 2008. She also won the Pam Strathairan Award in 2008 as the top female competitor at Stanford.

Allison was the 11th pick overall by the L.A. Sol of the Women’s Professional Soccer League. After one year, she was traded to Philadelphia’s team and she played two seasons there and played in an All-Star game.

Although retired from professional sports, Allison continues to enjoy cycling, swimming and hiking. She lives in San Francisco and works for EventBrite.
