Christopher Rodd

2015 SRVHS Athletic Hall of Fame
Christopher Rodd - Class of 2003 - Soccer
Chris was one of those rare, talented, dominate soccer players who come around once in a great while. At SRV, Chris was a four year Varsity player along with being a strong academic student earning SRV, NCS and CIF Scholar Athlete awards. The awards were not limited to academics as Chris earned 1st Team All-League, was the leading scorer, EBAL and NCS player of the year and multiple Athlete of the Week awards from the Contra Costa Times.

With a highly successful SRVHS career, Chris earned a soccer scholarship to William and Mary in Virginia. Chris was chosen All League and earned Scholar Athlete awards in 2004. After two years Chris transferred to USF in 2005 so he could get closer to the San Francisco financial community and to join a nationally ranked soccer program.

Chris started every game for the Dons and was recently named to the All-Decade team. Chris helped lead the Dons to two NCAA appearances. Chris was chosen as a First Team All-Conference player and graduated with a Finance and Accounting degree.

At the age of 22, Chris was signed by the Bryne Football Club (known as soccer here) of Norway. Playing professional soccer was a dream come true for Chris! Unfortunately, Chris was injured in 2010 and ended up rehabilitating in the US with the New York Cosmos team. Today Chris continues to play for the Sonoma County Sol Football Club while working in Asset Management. Chris and his wife Michelle live in the North Bay raising twin girls.
