San Ramon Valley High School

**Packet for those wishing to start a club!
Thank you for your interest in starting a club. Creating and running a club will require a considerable amount of time on your part. However the Student Council admires all attempts to increase extracurricular activities and will be willing to assist you. Coki Wuest, Arya Bruno, Kelly McBride, Gloria Ng, Lauren Anderson, Lauren Alarab, and the Interclub Commissioners, will be able to help you publicize the creation of your club and help you find an advisor. To start a club you must:

1. Have at least 10 members (including officers) to become an active club on the SRVHS campus.

2. Complete this application and the “request for motion” (attached). Please try to return them to us through Mrs. Willford’s box in the office or A2 by Friday, September 4th.

3. Attend the next Tuesday student council meeting (you’ll be invited) and present your motion for approval. They will vote on whether or not to approve your club.

4. Once approved by the student council, your club will then have to be approved by administration. The Interclub Commissioners will schedule a meeting with the administration to settle the creation of your club.

5. Once the club is approved, the club becomes official and is bound by all rules governing campus clubs.

6. In order to stay active, your club must compose monthly agendas that include: where/who met, what you discussed, and project plans, etc. This must be turned in to the interclub Commissioners in A2 or through email at [email protected] or your club will be deactivated.

7. All club presidents must attend monthly club meeting. Your club is allowed to put up flyers and posters to advertise upcoming events or meetings. However, all posters and flyers must be approved by Mrs. Willford before they are put up.

Groups or individuals meeting the above criteria may apply to start a club on campus by completing the application available at the link below. Applications should be completed and returned to Mrs. Willford's box or A2.
