Students with incomplete paperwork will not be allowed to attend Ball; payment alone does not guarantee admission. Guests not in High School must have a short meeting with admin prior to the event. All paperwork for guests must be completed and handed into Mr. Phelan before purchasing tickets from the Bookkeeper.
All transportation must be arranged on your own. SRV currently has a charter bus reserved; the cost is an additional $25 per person. It will meet at SRVHS at 6:00PM. Steinhart Aquarium and Shake House
The Aquarium will be open for a SRV private viewing from 8:30PM-10:00PM. Steinhart Aquarium, the Living Collection, is home to 38,000 live animals from around the world, representing more than 900 separate species.. Along with the other exhibits we will also have the Shake House, where you can experience the sustained tremors of San Francisco's two biggest quakes—the 6.9-magnitude Loma Prieta earthquake and the 7.9-magnitude Great San Francisco quake of 1906—from inside the dining room of a Victorian-era "Painted Lady" house. This will be open the entire night.
Supervised women’s and men’s coat checks will be available for items such as phones, cameras, jackets, purses, etc. Shoes must be worn at ALL times in the Academy due to bio hazards. We recommend wearing comfortable/flat shoes to the event. If you check your shoes you will be given slippers to wear.
If you rent from Men’s Wearhouse, mention that you are renting for the SRVHS Senior Ball and an additional $5 will be donated to the Class of 2017! Ball rep details are also available at Men’s Wearhouse if you are interested in trying to earn a free tux.
· You are not issued a physical ticket to the Ball. Your names will be on a list and you MUST have your student photo ID to check in. This pertains to both SRV and Non-SRVHS guests. Guests must check in with the student who purchased the SRV student who purchased the ticket.
· No gum is allowed in the Academy. The gum is extremely harmful to the animals and the museum itself.
· Dress code: Students or guests will not be admitted if their attire is too revealing or inappropriate for a High School event. Dresses can be shown to administrators ahead of time if there are concerns.
· Parents will be notified if students do not arrive by 9:00PM or if students leave before 10:00PM.
· Scholarships are available to students in need; we do not want money to hinder a student’s desire to attend. Email Janet Willford firstname.lastname@example.org if there is a financial need, or questions not addressed above.
