Summer Programs...what will you do this summer?

There are many programs for students to explore for summer adventure, education and fun.  We are starting to build our list of options for you to consider.  All are sponsored by independent companies and arrangements may be made directly with them.

Amigos de las Americas!   This organization inspires young leaders to realize their leadership potential through immersion in cross-cultural community development projects in Central and South America. Over the past few summers, several SRVHS students have participated in this program.  You can learn more about their programs at on their website:  www.eastbayamigos.org

The Experiment in International Living - 34 Programs in 28 Countries!  This organization offers 34 unique summer programs in 28 countries.  Some of them include:  US:  Human Rights & College Discovery (history of civil rights); Brazil:  Soccer and Social Change (develop soccer skills while learning how soccer influences education and community development), and many more.  In addition, they offer  2  "Experiment Leadership Institute Programs": India:  Public Health & Community Development; South Africa:  Youth Leadership in Peace, Politics and Human Rights.  Both are 6 week programs and are fully funded for participants.  Learn more information at: http://experiment.org

Rustic Pathways - Learn about these programs at lunch on Thursday, Nov. 16th in the College and Career Center.  A representative will be on our campus to share information about the many summer and Gap Year programs that they offer.
