Homecoming Float Class of 2021 - Build Schedule
Dear SRV Class of 2021,

Welcome to SRV homecoming season! This is a great time for the freshmen class to come together, meet new friends and bond while building an incredible freshman homecoming float. This year's the theme is "Kickin' It Old School". All of the floats are based on well-known high schools from the big screen, the freshmen's theme is “Seven Seas High School” from “Suite Life on Deck.” Think, A LUXURY CRUISE SHIP, a classroom at sea, living the "SRV Suite Life On Deck!" The freshmen are really excited about this theme and since it's their first homecoming float build, they need lots of help and manpower!

Join us for a KICKOFF MEET GREET & TREATS this Wednesday, September 20th 5:30PM- 6:30PM at the build site. Come meet the team, see the design of the float. The freshmen officers and Parent Leaders will be onsite and available answer questions. RSVP below so we know who is coming!

Build Site 3 Parrot Place, Danville off La Gonda Way across from St. Isidore's and behind the Montessori school

Remember to keep our location SECRET!

Homecoming Float Class of 2021 - Building Materials
SRV Class of 2021,

Welcome to homecoming season! This is a great time for the freshmen class to come together, meet new friends and bond while building an incredible freshmen homecoming float. This year's the theme is "Kickin' It Old School". All of the floats are based on well-known high schools from the big screen. The freshmen's theme is “Seven Seas High School” from “Suite Life on Deck.” Think, A LUXURY CRUISE SHIP, a classroom at sea, living the "SRV Suite Life On Deck!" The freshmen are really excited about this theme and since it's their first homecoming float build, they need lots of help and manpower!

We have some very exciting news!!! Due to the generosity of the families that donated to the homecoming float build at registration, the freshmen class float is fully funded! The design team will do an initial shopping trip for materials to get the students started. Building a parade float is an evolving process, as the building progresses, additional materials will be needed. If you have any materials at home that are on the materials list please donate to the site. ONLY DONATE ITEMS THAT ARE ON THE LIST!! If you have an item that you think will work well with the theme, please contact one of the float team members so we can get student approval.

When you signup and purchase materials, FILL OUT A REIMBURSEMENT FORM. There will be a drop box with reimbursement forms at the build site, fill out the form, attach the receipt to the form and a check will be mailed to you. To help the team track and budget reimbursements will be made for items you signed up to bring to the site. WE NEED YOUR HELP however you are able, whether it's by donating time, talents, materials from home that are no longer needed, as well as picking up food, snacks/waters. There are plenty of opportunities to help in any way you can.

The biggest needs are:

FLATBED TRUCK min 20’-30’ max. The truck is only needed from 3:00 PM 10/10 - 10/13 9:00 PM (or Saturday morning 10/14).

GENERATOR and SPEAKERS

WE NEED DADS ANDS MOMS THAT HAVE BASIC BUILDING EXPERIENCE. The students have designed the float, and they need guidance with basic building skills to make an amazing float!

WE NEED TOOLS THAT CAN BE BORROWED - miter saws, jig saws, nail gun w/compressor or hammers, drills, portable work benches, image projector, tape measures, staple guns, paint brushes, 2 - 3 50 ft. long 3 prong extension cords.

If you will be delivering supplies, please deliver to the build site, 3 Parrot Place, Danville. Supplies can be put on the porch, or in front of the fence to the right of the garage door. Materials can be donated any time starting Wednesday September 20th at 3:30 PM. Wood, paint and cardboard are critical materials that are needed to get the building process started.
