San Ramon Valley High School is very proud of our students continued success on the College Board's Advanced Placement Examinations. Through Advanced Placement (AP) courses students can earn college credit in high school while pursuing more academically rigourous curricula.
These courses differ from standard college preporatory classes in their pace, depth and complexity of assignments and higher standards of evaluation.
Advanced Placement students are expected to:
- Be highly motivated
- Be independent learners
- Stick with the challenge
- Try to avoid “over scheduling”
- Computer savvy (a big plus)
- Take the AP Exam in May

Language Arts: AP English Language; AP English Literature
Mathematics: AP Calculus AB; AP Calculus BC; AP Statistics
Science: AP Biology; AP Chemistry; AP Physics B; AP Environmental Science
Social Studies: AP European History; AP US History; AP Psychology: AP Economics; AP Government; AP Comparative Government
World Languages: AP Spanish; AP French
