Hello, I am Cindy Egan and I teach AP Environmental Science & Intro to Engineering. I have been teaching at SRVHS for 7 years. Prior to teaching, I was a professional civil engineer with a practice in Geotechnical Engineering. I enjoyed my 25 years as an engineer but I love teaching. I am from El Paso, Texas but I moved a lot as a child as my father was promoted up in the Southern Pacific Railroad company. I attended Cal Berkeley for my B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering (Go Bears). My credential is from Chapman University. I practiced engineering at Dames & Moore, Treadwell & Rollo and finally at Geomatrix Consultants. My entire career was spent in the Bay Area. My goal with my students is to change their lives. For my AP Environmental students, my hope is that they leave my class realizing that every choice they make (how they get to school, what they eat, what they wear, where they work) effects the environment. My hope for my Engineering students is that they learn what engineers do, how engineers problem solve and the types of engineering that they can major.
