HEALTH EDUCATION INSTRUCTUCTOR: Hunter Course description This is a one-semester course that examines the scientific knowledge and human behavior as it relates to major health issues and behaviors. The general course objective is to understand the physical, social, and psychological factors that affect our health and how to apply them in improving our own health and the health of society. This includes the workbook packet that is used all semester. Grades Academic points: Class work, presentations, papers, worksheets, quizzes, tests will be assessed points. Letter grades will be according to the percentage of points earned. A=90% and above, B=80-89%, C=70-79%, D=60-69%, F=below 59%. **Extra credit-None, the teacher will not create extra assignments for students to replace work that was not submitted on time or that was completed in an unsatisfactory manner.
