What is Naviance?
Naviance is designed to help students make decisions about courses, colleges, and careers. It allows students to get involved in the planning process. In this site, students can build resumes, complete on-line personality and career interest surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers.
Naviance is a powerful tool for students to research colleges, scholarship and financial aids. Through the scattergram feature, students are also able to compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from San Ramon Valley High School for students who have applied and have been admitted in the past.
It also acts as a bridge between students and counselors. Students can access information from the Counseling Dept., and College & Career Center (such as up-coming college visits, meetings and events, local scholarship opportunities, and other web resources for college and career information). With Family Connection, students can also sign up for college visits as well.
All students are welcome to see their counselor in the counseling office and/or the College and Career Center advisors with questions or comments concerning Family Connection.
