Academic Boosters Donation - DUPLICATE USE ACADEMIC BOOSTERS SECTION


Academic Boosters is a non-profit 501(c)3 parent-run organization dedicated to raising funds to support quality programs that enhance the educational experience for all students at SRVHS.  All donations are fully tax deductible and eligible for Corporate Matching programs.  

 

Your parent donation of the requested $325.00 to Academic Boosters for the 2012-13 school year will provide the following valuable programs and services:  


  • Funding for additional class sections/reduces student to teacher ratio 

  • Career Center hours  

  • Paperless Student Telephone Directory  

  • Two annual Academic Scholarships awards  

  • College test prep activities 

  • Contributions to Academic Teams  

  • Funding for all Academic Letter awards and Undergraduate Awards  

  • Co-Sponsor of the District College Fair  

  • SAT/ACT Tests: Academic Boosters offers both a practice SAT and practice ACT. Please watch the e-bulletin for sign-ups. The Career Center maintains a binder of SAT/ACT test prep classes.

For the 2011-12 school year Academic Boosters’ revenue was approximately $400,000. The revenue chart shows that more than 75was donated by the SRVHS parents in the 2011-12 school year and approximately 60% directly through the Academic Boosters donation requests. 


For the 2011-12 school year Academic Boosters’ spend approximately $400,000. More than 98% directly to student related programs. The expenses chart shows that Class size reduction and Technology, both benefitting all SRVHS students, counted for almost 75% of the total budget. 


Money to fund programs is just the beginning to enhance student academics.  It also takes parent involvement, teacher dedication and student motivation.  Your participation in Academic Booster meetings is important. Please join us at our meetings in the Career Center during the 2 school year.
