Rob Heidger

2007 SRVHS Athletic Hall of Fame


Rob Heidger, Class of 1987:

Rob Heidger is being honored for his achievement in Basketball at SRVHS as well as his Collegiate, Professional and Olympic achievements in Volleyball.

Born and raised in Danville, Rob was a two-time Varsity Basketball player and was named All-League in Basketball for two years at SRVHS.

Upon graduating SRVHS, Rob went on to Santa Barbara City College where he also earned All-League honors.

During his sophomore year in college, Rob made the switch to Volleyball and went on to UC Santa Barbara where he was also named All-League and Team Co-Captain.

Rob’s professional career started the summer after graduation from UCSB. He soon qualified on the Association of Volleyball Professional and for the next eight years partnered with volleyball stars such as Karch Kiraly, Sinjin Smith, Randy Stoklos, and Mike Dodd. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1994. Most Improved in 1995, and Sportsman of the Year in 1996.

Rob resides in Redondo Beach working as a top performing sales representative in the medical industry. Mr. Heidger’s main goals in life include living, loving, laughing and being happy with his lovely wife and their twin boys, Marcus and Wilson.
